Hello!! It's me again!!
Thanks to the volcano eruption in Iceland I've managed to get extra week back at home. I say "Thanks" because I am really greatefull to it in a way!! Last Saturday I was supposed to travel to UK to continue my study in Uni, and from that point on you could say it was my last official holiday at home, as I hope to graduate and get a job this year... I am really attached to my home (family, friends and MOTHERLAND!!)... Back here, now we have a very strong Victory Day celebration mood going around... Even though it's on 9th of May, everyone is getting ready for it as it is a big thing for us... No matter what people say it is A HELL OF A BIG DEAL for Russians, as we suffered the most I dare say!! I've came across people from other nations saying that they won the war, that they have sufferes the most etc... But coming from what I'vw studied at school history classes, I still think and know that Russia did most of hard fighting with the help of allies but still!! So here is the piece that you can call a provocative!! In a way!! It is not new to anyone that women did fight along with men during that war! And here I've based this drawing on film I watched when I was a child, it was called "The Dawns here are quiet" (А зори здесь тихие) google it or YouTube it!! It is again Matilda!! I envy her in a way, because she seems to like change outfits and moods!! She was a sexy lady, a sea captain, a ninja and now she seems to like being a soldier of the Red Army!!
Please, please, please DON'T
get offended by this work!! This is my expression of my gratitude to all those Russians that died during that war!!
